CoreAlign II: Corrective Exercise on the CoreAlign
Course Description: Corrective exercise is an approach that aims to identify movement
dysfunction and incorporate exercise programs tailored to an individual's needs to improve mobility, relieve chronic pain or discomfort, and correct imbalances. This course on corrective exercise using the Core Align methodology is designed for fitness enthusiasts, personal trainers, and rehabilitation professionals and offers a deep dive into the principles of corrective exercise while using the core align for assessment and programming for private clients and specialized classes.
Course Objectives:
1. Students will list principles of corrective exercise
2. Students will identify common dysfunctions using the core align for assessment
3. Students will choose core align exercises and programming based on client assessment
4. Students will demonstrate effective core stabilization, strengthening and mobility
exercises on the core align
5. Students will integrate core align exercise into both personal and group training programs
6. Students will develop programming to improve human movement and prevent injury
7. Students will discuss evidence-based studies and case presentations
Prerequisites: Core Align I: Integrated training on the Core Align by PHI Pilates.
